QASR AL MINA

The building still carries its name — Qasr Al Mina, Palace of the Port — modern, commercial, the kind of structure that was meant to announce something about a city on the rise. The windows are not in yet it seems. Rubble sits beside it, and part of it has been struck. Hosam photographed it with its name visible, because the name matters — a palace of the port, half built or half undone, standing at the edge of what was supposed to come next.
